A.M.A. wins Business Excellence Award

On Wednesday, October 9th, the Leamington District Chamber of Commerce hosted its 25th Business Excellence awards gala in Leamington, Ontario. The gala is an opportunity to recognize innovation and excellence among the region’s increasing number leading organizations, many of which represent the horticulture industry. This year, A.M.A. was honoured and humbled to be the recipient of the Business Excellence award for Industrial/Manufacturing.
“We are deeply proud to be a part of this community and to work alongside so many high-performing organizations to collectively make our region grow and thrive,” said Lisa Janzen, A.M.A.’s lead designer responsible for the company’s recent brand refresh, who accepted the award on behalf of the A.M.A. team. Also in attendance at the gala were team members Kasi Coulter and Charlene Floreno.
The company’s managing directors, Connie and Rick Bradt, and the A.M.A. sales team were in Niagara Falls for the Canadian Greenhouse Conference and unable to attend the gala.
“We were sorry to miss it in person, but were thrilled to see members of our team up there on the stage to receive this award,” said Connie Bradt. “It’s all about them! They are the ones coming up with innovative ideas, learning new approaches, and pushing us forward as an organization. This award is in recognition of their hard work and commitment to cultivating the future of horticulture.”
A.M.A. was nominated alongside Highbury Canco and Global Pack Packaging Solutions. Finalists were announced earlier this fall, and the nominations were anonymous.
“We have no idea who might have nominated us for this award, but whoever it was, we want to say thank you,” said Rick Bradt. “We also want to thank WindsorEssex Economic Development, who sponsored this. It is an honour just to have our name stand alongside the other two companies in this category, who each contribute greatly to our community.”
A.M.A.’s business growth strategy is founded on one simple principle: deliver the best solutions to each customer. The team has worked hard and accomplished much in the past year, including introducing a number of innovative solutions to the market, attending and sponsoring a wide range of research and education initiatives in North America and Europe, and re-branding the organization as A.M.A. Horticulture Inc.
“We are proud to receive this award from the Leamington District Chamber of Commerce,” said Rick, “but we are even prouder of the accomplishments of our team, and we are excited for another season of innovation and momentum.”
